The international Plant Virus Ecology Network (PVEN) promotes science at the interface of virology, ecology, vector biology and epidemiology. It hopes to create understanding of the interactions among viruses and organisms that shape the biological world we live in. As part of this effort, PVEN is fostering the development of assay methods to find out what viruses are present in a given sample. At OSU, PVEN needs the assistance of motivated undergraduate in developing methods for virus detection and identification. Are you an undergraduate student with background in biology and chemistry with an interest in a research experience in a cutting edge field? If so, please apply for this National Science Foundation sponsored internship. The techniques developed in this work will be the basis of workshops for worldwide members of the Plant Virus Ecology Network (PVEN). |
